If there was an option for negative stars, I'd use it in this instance. I went in for a simple repair on a silver bracelet, literally just soldering a simple loop closed that had spread over time. At first the owner wasn't sure if they could do it, she checked with someone in the back and returned 2 min later with "silver is tricky but I think we can do it". I asked how long it would take, she said two weeks!!! I wanted to wear it this weekend (it's Wednesday) so I politely said, I want to wear it this weekend so I'll try to find another jewler that can do it while I wait or the next day. I then asked if it would be possible to borrow a jeweler's screw driver to tighten a bracelet screw on the $26,000 Audemars Piguet watch I was wearing. She said she doesn't do that, "we don't let noone use our tools". She said she could do it, I handed her the watch and said, "thank you, please just be careful not to scratch it" her response was to hand me back my watch, state "I'm not interested" and walk out of the 1960s pink carpeted showroom to the back room without another word! I think the golden opportunities in this place may simply be lessons in customer service. Btw, go on yelp and read the reviews that are suppressed. They are horror stories!
